I recommend to take a snapshot now before proceeding further. After completing all initial settings (you can skip few too), you should land on mountain lion desktop without any issues. If all settings are correct, the Mac OS X 10.8 virtual machine should start with initial setup screen of Language settings as below. I have increased the RAM to 2GB and number of processor cores to 2 as I have core2duo physical processor. Before powering on, you can modify processor and RAM settings depending on available resources on physical computer.
That should open the pre installed Mountain Lion retail VMware virtual machine.
Within Mountain Lion Folder select the file with extension “.vmx”.
Use VMware unlocker (which will be available on same extracted location) and patch the existing VMware workstation 7 or 8 series.
Google on how to find if the PC is VT Enabled, i shouldn’t be saying this though.
Check and make sure your physical computer processor supports Hardware Virtualization Technology (VT).
unzip the files and it’ll accumulate around 6.25 GB in size.
Download a 4.34 GB image file from this torrent.
Complete the installation and restart system (Recommended).
Download VMWare Workstation 9 that would be around some 73 MB and don’t worry whether its Trial or full version, they work just so well.
VMware workstation 8 or later versions.
VMware unlocker and darwin.iso are important.
Pre installed VMware image with few tools.
